The ‘Madman’ DOS virus, which emerged in the early 1990s, was a malicious program that infected executable files on DOS-based systems. When activated, it displayed an ASCII picture of an angry red-faced man on the infected computer’s screen, along with a message containing threatening or inflammatory text.
